Instructions to make Misal pav:
  1. First Take sprouts in a pressure cooker, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 4 glasses water and Cook on medium heat until 1 whistle. Do not overcook the mataki.
  2. Take a pan and heat up on medium heat, add coconut and roast until it gets reddish colour. When done, take it out into a blender pot.
  3. In the same pan add 1 tsp oil. Add sliced onion, garlic and ginger. Fry on medium heat until onion gets golden brown colour for about 6-7 minutes.
  4. Add tomato and fry for another 5-6 minutes until tomato becomes soft. Turn off the gas and when the mixture cools down, transfer it into blender pot which contains roasted coconut.
  5. Grind the mixture really good. - Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add blended masala and fry on medium heat for about 5-6 minutes. Add 1 tbsp coriander powder, and red chilli powder. Mix well and fry until masala release oil.
  6. Add cooked sprouts along with water into masala. Mix it very well. Add some water as per you choice. Add salt to taste.
  7. Cook misal on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Turn off the gas our misal is ready.
