Steps to make Diet Mutton Curry:
  1. Cut Potato in 4 pieces with skin. Heat a pan add 4 to 5 tbsp of oil and fry the potatoes for about 2 to 3 mins. and keep it aside. Now in the same pan, add all the whole spices, including curry leaves. Let them splutter a while. Now add a pinch of hing. Now add the mutton pieces into it. And give it a mix and cover it and cook it fr 5 to 7 mins in a low flame.
  2. Now in a blender, add onion and green chillies and coarsely grind them. Don't grind the tomatoes. Instead cut them into small pieces.
  3. Now add this blended onion mixture to the mutton, add tomato pieces, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, salt, cumin and coriander powder, garam masala powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder and give them a good mix and again cover it and cook it for about 45 mins. in a low flame. Bt after half and hour add the potato pieces and again cook it for 15 mins again.
  4. When the oil starts leaving the pan, transfer the mutton masala in a cooker. Now in the same pan, put half litre of water, make it lukewarm and pour it into the cooker.
  5. Now add the required salt, turmeric powder, meat masala, coriander leaves and mix them well. Pressure cook it in a medium flame for up to 20 whistles and serve hot with rice. In this way, you cook the meat along with the masalas together with a very little oil.
